Transfer video from VHS to DVD, PSP, iPod, Easy Now
Wednesday, February 17th, 2010Last summer my pastor of my church asked me to customize a DVD burner for services registered. I thought it was pretty easy, but there was a kicker, he also wanted to be able to transfer from old VHS recordings of services and on DVD.
In the first case, that means installing a capture card with RCA inputs or component on a computer and the software used to absorb and re-encode the video in DVD format. It 'was a real painA couple of hours to create. Today things are much easier. Now we have external hardware devices, which not only capture, but the success on the fly when streaming on your computer to do.
The unity that we have been regularly ADS Technologies DVD Xpress DX2. This unit is equipped with RCA and S-video. It connects to your computer via a USB port and Windows XP is discovered as a recording device. Software drivers are easy to install and load devicedrivers without problems.
Now here is the sweetest part of the ADS DVD Xpress DX2 the software package that comes with integration with Ulead DVD Movie Factory, which is included in the software package. So instead of a 2-stage process to capture and then burn it to DVD, can now be executed in a period of time.
Of course, the video will be captured on the hard drive of your computer for further manipulation to be saved, and to transfer to other devices such as SonyPSP or Apple iPod video. The software with the device to record directly to DVD (MPEG-2), SVCD, VCD (MPEG-1), MPEG-4 and DivX, as well as PSP and iPod formats.
I recommend this unit to all those who wish to transfer their old VHS tapes to DVD, and that anyone wishing to create their own video to PSP and iPod. This system for transferring video is by far the easiest I found. Our church loves because with a few mouse clickseven a PC, burn DVDs now.
