So you've scraped and saved, finally met with a semi-home theater. You want more, but the thought of another few thousand spent on new front speakers does not cut it. What can you do?
There are ways to get the most out of yourself without breaking the bank. There are several areas you can look at your theater to ensure they are properly set and play better.
Cables and committed – it is importantsignals are transferred from the source components for speakers, through various components along the path with minimum degradation. Make sure audio, video and power cables are all good quality and are not old and rusty. You can use contact enhancer to be sure that the connection is really good. If you have a quality cable, see here: http://1touchmovie.com/blockbuster/BetterCables.html
Ensure the highest possible level of A / V connection to use thesupport system. that is, if you use a DVD component or DVI video connection from you to give your device and do it.
Calibration – the video does not show the best without proper calibration. Manufacturers have a dismal record when it comes to calibrate the set in the factory. Most of their TV is designed to look their best on the showroom floor, not in your home. Actually, CRT-based projection to the life of a TV has dramaticallyshortened by improper calibration.
The contrast is still too high, the collection of showroom environment. Has sold more channels, but causes premature tube wear. (E 'to sell more television, I think) Proper video calibration will be the problem. I used Joe Kane's Digital Video Essentials for years and the Video Essentials laser disc before. This is a great tool to help you make the most of your home. Select one here:

Acoustic Improvements – These include a variety of things to acoustic treatment within the local ATT your projector. When you reduce the background noise is effectively increasing the dynamic range. In addition, acoustic treatments significantly improved dialogue intelligibility, bass response and imaging.
One of the best "bang for the buck" is a category "or 2 "thick, acoustic panel at the two walls of the theater thinking" reduce "first. The first version was the sound coming out of the front speaker and requires a long journey to your ears, which reflects the side of the road wall. this is a long road ahead and take more time and not later than the direct sound that went directly to the speakers to your ears. The net effect is a loss of intelligibility of dialogue.
To find the correct location of the noisematerial, and sit at the listening position, place a small mirror on the side wall and move it until the first speaker. If possible, this is the place to center the acoustic panel.
Another, cheaper, adjust the positioning of the subwoofer for optimum performance. For years, people have heard "Bass is not the direction. You can put your sub anywhere". This is simply BS. is rather low non-directional, the tonal quality and quantity of bass strongly influenced by the subwooferposition. A simple trick is to put the sub at the listening position (listening height), and then move the camera (regional) to find the place with the best quality bass. If possible, where divers.
You can have a quiet box built around the projector to minimize noise from it. Make sure you have adequate ventilation to maintain proper cooling. Do not be stressed enough. As a partial measure, without building a box, you can create noiseabsorbent material on the projector to the ceiling. If the projector is located near the ceiling, the sound is normally reflected on the ceiling and the murder of listening-room.
I hope this is you started the path to even more enjoyment from home and save money at the same time.
